Terms & Conditions : Retail Sales – (Jewellery & Watches)

This website, shop.handt.co.uk (the “Website”) is operated by or on behalf of Harvey & Thompson Limited (H&T) Registered in England and Wales No. 02636684 and VAT number 840 14 89 39. Registered office: Times House, Throwley Way, Sutton, Surrey SM1 4AF.

In these Terms, when we refer to, we, us, our etc, we are referring to Harvey & Thompson Limited. When we refer to you, we are referring to you, the customer.

Terms:

Although we make reasonable efforts to make sure product information is complete and accurate, we make no guarantees, that the content on our site is accurate, complete or up to date. The product dimensions, colour and weights supplied are intended to give an approximate indication.

All dimensions and estimated weights of diamonds and gemstones have been determined without unsetting the stones and are, therefore, only approximate because of limitations imposed by the mount. Estimated weights are normally calculated by applying standard formulae to the measurements taken.

Diamond colour and clarity assessments are an opinion only, and both colour and clarity can be estimated only because of limitations imposed by the mount. The quality nomenclature used is that recommended by the GIA (The Gemological Institute of America). Gemmological descriptions of diamonds and gemstones, including disclosure of treatments, are based on testing carried out by standard gemmological equipment without unsetting the stones. Whilst H&T is reasonably satisfied that all such descriptions are correct, no responsibility can be assumed if subsequent unsetting and testing disproves these opinions. In the event of serious doubt, it is recommended that independent testing is undertaken by a recognised gemmological laboratory.

Pricing

We can accept secure online payment via credit and debit payments on the following cards, if issued in the UK –

Please be aware that for refunds while we will endeavour to refund items promptly it can take some payment platforms up to 3-5 working days to clear the funds back to your account.

It is always possible that some of the items we sell may be incorrectly priced. If this does occur, you will be contacted as soon as possible to inform you of the error. Once we have told you about an error in the price of the product you have ordered, you will be given the option of buying the goods at the correct price or cancelling the order. In the event the payment has been processed this will be refunded. If we cannot get in contact with you to notify you of the error, your order will be cancelled.

 

 

Delivery & Returns

Delivery

Our aim is that all orders will be dispatched within 2 working days via Royal Mail. On a rare occasion that we cannot dispatch within this time a representative will contact you should this occur to advise and discuss any options.

Please note delivery times maybe extended over public holidays, peak periods or during extreme weather.

A signature by an individual over the age of 18 will be required upon delivery. Should no one be available a card will be left with further instructions.


Returns & Exchanges

Should you wish to return or exchange and item, please contact us straight away.

Items can be exchanged or refunded up to 30 days of purchase, with a valid receipt.

If for any reason you are not happy with your purchase, we will endeavour to resolve any issues or issue a refund.

Items must be returned with the original receipt. We cannot exchange or refund any item without a receipt or proof of purchase.

Returned goods must packaged securely with any additional packaging they were sent with to include presentation boxes, certificates, manuals and all other documentation.

Please be aware when returning an item, we recommend that items returned to us are sent by recorded delivery. 1st Class Delivery does not cover Jewellery if the item is lost.  

We do not refund on items lost in transit. We are not liable for goods until they are in our possession.

If your Goods are Faulty or damaged upon arrival, we will refund your any reasonably incurred return postage costs provided you comply with our return instructions and you provide us with a copy of your postage receipt.

We do not accept returns for items that have been modified; to clarify this includes resizing, engraving or changes that in any way differ from the original condition the item was sent in.

Please be aware if the item you have ordered has been personalised this is non-refundable.

Refunds will not be processed until we have received the item and satisfied that the returned product matches the returns issue and also the description/specification of what was dispatched to you.

Once we have received your return and have assessed it we will then process the refund back to the credit/debit card/account that was used to place the order­­ online. We will not refund via any other method.

Your right to amend your order

If you wish to make a change to your order, please contact us in the first instance. We will let you know if it is possible, depending on the status of your order. If it is possible we will let you know about any changes to the price of the product, the timing of supply or anything else which would be necessary as a result of your requested modification and ask you to confirm whether you wish to go ahead with the change.
